Victorian white opal and diamond winged Witches heart brooch / hair ornament mounted in silver and 18ct gold. English. Circa 1880. The white opal heart and wings displaying some of the finest play-of-colour possible in opal with flashes of red and pink throughout with diamond set wing tips and a diamond border around the central opal heart. The flexible wing sections can be worn up or down. Total diamond weight approximately 0.75cts. Total opal weight approximately 4cts. The brooch has the capability to be worn as a hair ornament. Measuring 600mm by 250mm when fully extended.
